Arbita Acquires The Staffing Institute

arbita_logoRecruitment marketing services company Arbita has acquired The Staffing Institute, a nonprofit organization that provides companies with best-practice information and resources.

Arbita says it plans to incorporate The Staffing Institute within Arbita Consulting and Education Services, which provides workshops, self-help products, recruiter and sourcer development, and consulting.

Fellows and advisors of The Staffing Institute include, among others, Gerry Crispin; Wendell Williams; and Charles Handler.

In semi-related news, Shally Steckerl, Arbita executive vice president, will be hosting an episode of Fordyce TV on Tuesday, August 18.

Shally Steckerl started his career in technical recruiting in 1996 and has experience consulting with and building sourcing organizations at many Fortune 500 companies such as Microsoft, Google, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Cisco Systems and Motorola.
