We’ve assembled some amazing content in the May issue of The Fordyce Letter. Here’s a sneak peek for TFL subscribers:

Tim Tolan landed the cover with his no-holds-barred “10 Lessons Learned in the Search Business” training piece. As he says in the article:

“This is not the time to mask your intentions just to generate an invoice. This is a time when you should take off your billing hat and find ways to deliver meaningful value to your clients.”

Jordan Rayboy’s 2,684-word diatribe on why planning matters, entitled “Proper Planning Prevents Piss-Poor Performance” is literally just a glimpse into his incredibly talented work ethic. (You can also catch him live in June at Fordyce Forum 2009; email me personally at elaine@fordyceletter.com if you want a discount code!).

In his “Pinnacle Perspectives” column, Dave Staats offers a doozy of a question. The reader asked Dave about working a deal that would pay 3% of the first year’s sales, paid quarterly. Is the long-term cash-flow option wise? Or should he just get back on the phone? Even Pinnacle experts like Tim Flanagan, Carol Wenom, Danny Sarch, and others, couldn’t reach a conclusive opinion.

There is much more inside the pages, including articles from Jeff Allen, Jeff Kaye, Barb Bruno, and lots of other leading trainers. The issue is being sent to the printers soon and will land on subscribers’ desks late next week.

Jordan Rayboy is taking on Fordyce TV this Tuesday, April 7, and you have to see it to believe it. The guy known as the RV Recruiter — and a speaker at the upcoming Fordyce Forum in Las Vegas –will be Skyping live from the hill country outside of Austin, Texas, the live music capital of the world.

If you’ve ever felt chained to a desk, consider what Jordan’s been up to recently. Last week he was in Denver (with the whole armada…RV, trailer, and everything inside) to attend the Pinnacle Society’s semi-annual meeting. He leaves Denver April 5 to spend the next two weeks in Texas. After that, he’ll be in Las Vegas for a week. If your head is spinning, you’re not sure if you could do the same and still be a Big Biller, but you totally want to try to keep up with his adventures, then tune in at 2pm ET for the launch of “Living the Dream with Jordan Rayboy” on Fordyce TV (just log on to http://www.fordyceletter.com just before the show starts and click the TV icon to watch).

Find his profile now on http://network.fordyceletter.com/profile/JordanRayboy and leave him a comment, or wait til his show and chat live with him after his inspiring presentation.

Jordan Rabyboy is one of my recruiting heroes. Not only was this million dollar Big Biller rookie of the year at MRI when he first came upon the recruiting scene at Sales Consultants Plantation, Florida, but he has maintained his Big Biller status while being totally virtual and traveling around North America in a Motor Home. The Motor Home is his office, home and lifestyle he shares with his wife Jessica and their two dogs. His firm is RayboyIS.com

Jordan is above all things both humble and pragmatic. I recently had breakfast with him on his trip through Dallas and asked him his views on the economy and what steps a recruiter needs to take to maintain, or even grow, their business along with what he does on a daily basis to keep up the momentum. His answers are candid, direct as well as a game plan for success.

Jordan Rayboy is re-defining the recruiting industry by building his virtual search business with his wife Jeska while traveling the country in their Fleetwood RV. They have been on the road since September ’06, and thus far have been to 36 states, 3 Canadian provinces, got married on the beach in Santa Barbara, and are living their dream. This interview was conducted from his RV and aside from a few technical hiccups the message is golden.

Jordan spent six years with MRI, where he was a Top-3 national producer in the Sales Consultants division in 2003 and 2004, and Top-10 worldwide producer in 2005 and 2006. He was both Regional Rookie of the Year and Regional Account Executive of the Year for the South Atlantic Region in 2001 (billing $650K his rookie year), and was Regional Account Executive of the year again in 2003 and 2004. At an age of 27 Rayboy’s career cash-in totals more than $3.8 million, and he has averaged $840k annual billings over the last four years.

Jordan says “Rayboy Insider Search (RayboyIS.com) has a simple mission- helping our clients and candidates achieve their goals by building long-term relationships based on trust, professionalism, and results.
