Nice interview – I’ve seen many of the same trends.

Counterintuitive but we see more companies using search firms for permanent hire, especially since Nov which is when Joe also saw an uptick in the market.

After talking with several corporate recruiting managers, the view I have seen is that recruiting teams are so small after budget cuts and job boards only moderately effective, people are turning to contingent search.

    Leading indicator?

    Thanks Diane and Mike.

Yes Mike, I do believe it is a leading indicator and I believe that the 3rd quarter of this year will be even better.

Our weekly temp has been on the rise every week since November. Our Perm, Direct Hire, billing is following suit as well.
I agree, clients are returning to search firms. The demand for qualified staff is on the rise and with the shortage of in house recruiting staff it makes sense to utilize the services we provide.
