Great story of hard lessons! This "slash worker" stuff is just another catch phrase thrown about to the unknowing masses by so called "work coaches" who need a way to get on the morning talk shows. Ever notice how so many of these folks either had a career and it went away, or they are are writers who have never actually held a job in any of the areas they write about?

The key to success has remained the same since Biblical times: you pick one thing at a time and give 150% to it. Give 75% to two masters and you will never be better than three quarters of the way to success in either field, and if you give 150% to two masters, you end up in an early grave.
